My claws won't let me play the piano?

I have LONG a** nails. And they won't let me play the piano anymore! Is it just me or it's actually quite impossible to play or even type with long nails? Sigh. Cos actually I don't really wanna cut them short. I've spent my life biting them, and now when finally they look beautiful...I'm having to bid them farewell. =(
