Error, arrghh Problem connecting my Powerbook G4 with wireless router!!?

Okay heres the deal I was online last night and gradually my signal strength on my wireless started to practically disappear and before long it wasn't showing up on my d powerbooks airport on where to connect. I thought it could be my airport card so I just took it out then thinking it could have been loose. I've tried resetting my wireless router to default and setting a new connection and starting over and nothing. It will find other wireless networks except for the one I create. It will show up and then disappear and then reappear again and when I try to type in my WEP pword it says error. I have also tried using WPA. Its finding other wireless networks but the one I create and one other one that isn't mine appears and disappear though there is a constant wireless connection that is always there that requires a pword to connect. I can still connect online using my ethernet cable though. Any thoughts would be appreciated. My wireless router by the way is a netgear.
