I need to remove underline and add bracket in a pdf?

I have a paragraph of text which is in a pdf. It was from MS Word orginally before it went to a pdf. I need to remove underline from a word and instead surround it with brackets. How do I do it. I do have acrobat professional 9.0, thanks
