How do I get known in middle school?

What I mean is, people actually knowing my name. I'm in 7th grade I was new last year. While I transferred schools for a month, my friend was at the dance. Some guy I like who I always sit next to, (not even showing signs I like him) who I talk to a little bit apparently doesn't know my name, unless he was faking. Help me out here too, do you think he faked it? At the last dance his friend said he wanted to talk to me, at recess a different friend said he wanted my number, plus he asked me if I had a cell, which I don't, so why did he want to know that? So anyway that was my wake up call. I'm quiet in cl ( I may be noticed at lunch, cause I'm loud and all over the place. ) At lunch I do weird things, so I may be known as weird, but I hope not. It is either weird or quiet. I don't want to be neither. If I am known as quiet and no one, how do I be noticed in a good way?
